Kai's Fire Mech is one of the nicest sets out of the 2013 Ninjago sets, despite it being the smallest. But is it worth getting now that the new sets are out? I hope this review will help you decide!

Box
Once you open the set you will find 2 poly bags and the instruction manual (folded).
MinifiguresThis set comes with two minifigs, which is not uncommon for sets of this size.

(sorry for the bad pics)
Kai KX: Kai is a really cool minifig. He has got awesome printing and cool ZX mask. My only problem is that he does not come with the ZX shoulder pads.....
Stone Scout: This minifigure is amazing! He comes with Sensei Wu's hat in red (it only comes in six sets), a pouch for his arrows and short legs!
WeaponsThis set comes with three weapons: Kai's Elemental Blade, a crossbow and a spare gold kattana.
The MechNow comes the best part of the set.....the Fire Mech!!!
The mech has some strange kattana 'ears' on top if it which I just find weird

The right arm is fitted with an awesome cannon with Kai's symbol on it.
The left arm has a hand on it. Yes, a HAND! The hand if fully articulated and can actually 'hold' onto the sword (and it can hold onto my dinner table!). It seems to be a tiny bit longer than the cannon arm, but I'm not sure.....
The 'belly' of the mech is where Kai sits. This is the most lacking part of the set. When the arms are held alongside the body it looks fine, buy when they are pointing forward or whatever, it looks odd.
My thoughtsPlayibility:
10/10. This set it actually a lot better than some other, larger Ninjago sets (Cole's Earth Driller, for example).
Build:
8/10. It would be wrong to expect for the level of difficulty of a $100 set, but you would be surprised!
Minfigs:
9/10. The figs are fantastic! I rarely get $10 sets because they are usually lacking in figs or have bad figs. Not this one!
OVERALL:
9/10. The best $10 set
ever!!
