Title: [HELP]: Signatures
Post by: LK901 on January 09, 2014, 07:40:09 pm
Signatures are pieces of text which are displayed automatically at the bottom of a post.  This guide will help you create your very own signature!

Finding the Signature creation box

At the top of the page there should be a menu bar with Home, Search Profile My Messages and logout buttons.  Click on the Profile button.  There should be a side bar on left with Profile Info and Modify Profile tabs.  Under the Modify Profile tab click on Forum Profile.  Scroll down and there will be a field called 'Signature'!

Making you Signature look nice
As you may have noticed, when you enter text into the signature field and look at one of your posts it looks very bland.  Time to fix that!  We will be using a very simple display language called BBCode.  If you want to make your text italic put the following bit of code in the signature field:
Code: [Select]
[i]Yourtext[/i], with Yourtext being your signature text.  For bold use
Code: [Select]
[b]Yourtext[/b].  To change the color of text use
Code: [Select]
[color=yourcolor][/color].  To change the size of your signature use this:
Code: [Select]
[size=sizept][/size] change size to a number between 8 and 36.  Don't remove the pt because the size won't work then.

Can you use html instead of BBCode for that? Because I know html and it makes more sense for me to use it.

I can create normal HTML pages with EzPortal.
And when I edit the CSS and I change the properties of the actual page.  The Baseplate background is CSS.
