On Star Bricks forum, you progress through many different ranks. This is a complete list of them.
User Ranks
New User: This is the starting rank. Between one and fifty posts users are a NU. You shoudn't be ashamed to be a NU, after all, everyone started at that!
Bricker: This is the second rank. And even the name is cooler than the first! Users are at this rank between fifty and a hundred posts.
Brick Fanatic: Users become soldiers when they hit the milestone of one hundred posts! And they remain a soldier until five hundred posts.
Honor the brick: 250 posts Yay!
Brick Master: Once you have posted your five hundredth post you become a lord. That's right, a lord (notice the lowercase l). You will be a Lord until you have posted one thousand comments!
BrickDuke: To make it all the way to be a baron is no mean feet. It means you have posted one thousand plus comments. And, unless someone makes you a member of staff, you are stuck at being a Baron.
Staff
Regulator: If you are very, very lucky you will become a Regulator. These users can delete topics and posts, aswell as edit them and remove polls.
Moderator: A mod is like the mayor of their city (their city being their board). Only a very few users become a mod. But, if you post a lot, you have a chance!
Global Moderator: The same as a Moderator except, as their name implies, can moderate ANY board.
Administrator: This is end of the road. You don't get any better than this. Ever. There is currently only one Admin. He is the mighty founder of the forum.. The LK901!
Other ranks
Samurai: The Samurai's are our best contributors. A swell as the honor of being one of our best contributors there are some..........extra rights!
Those are all the ranks so far. There will likely be more to come, so keep an eye on this topic!

So, are we automatically called that once we reach the needed amount of posts, or do we let you know that we have, or do you keep track and then post it, or does the site keep track you check it then post our rank? (In simpler words, how exactly does it work?:).

The User Ranks are achieved once you get to a certain amount of posts.
I am the only one who can make someone a Staff member.
You can request to become a Samurai on your user settings, and a mod has to accept of decline.

Okay, thanks for replying :). (It's so cool that we're both online at the same time.)

Does anyone want to be a Regulator?

Does anyone want to be a Regulator?
I volunteer! I am very active here and I think I would make a good regulator. Is a regulator like a less powerful mod?

Regulators can modify posts, delete them and move boards.
-
I don't think that I'm ready to be a regulator yet, I could do the job but I don't think I have the time on my hands. I'll have to see how much I'm able to get on here and eventually maybe I would volunteer for something like that.

In reality, there is absolutely NO need for any mods/regulators besides me, but who cares :)
-
Yeah, but it's nice to know there are guys who've got your back if you're away doing something or you can't get on the internet for some reason.

Yes. Oh, that reminds me, I'm leaving for the US tomorrow, so probably won't be able to post a lot. I will not be able to post as much as usual until I get back (the 26th).

Should the rank names be changed? I was thinking they were weird.. :-\
