Really the only themes I have seen in recent years that have been original and good are Chima and Ninjago. Galaxy Squad was pretty good but there was no story whatsoever and the aliens were just strange. It seems that most themes these days are just made off of popular movies and franchises; though I am excited for the LEGO Minecraft sets. I currently cannot think of any ideas, but when I do I'll be sure to post them. =D Nice topic BTW.I agree with this 100% While the licensed themes look pretty damn cool, I wish Lego put a little more emphasis on making their own themes.First thing that came to mind for me was a new Western/Cowboy reboot but The Lone Ranger had to hijack that idea.I would like a Roman/Greek theme where soldiers either battle another empire and/or fight agains the gods. The story can be a retelling of ancient history or LEGO could go "all fantasy" and add mythology into the mix. Sets could include temples, a colosseum, forts, the usual catapults and wagons, etc. Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. But knowing LEGO they would probably base it off of the Percy Jackson movies or something. NO!!!!!!! Not the percy jackson movies!!!!! They're horrible!!!But, that probably would happen..... My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure if LEGO would make that a theme though. They probably wouldn't.Phew!(Do you want to come over to the chat page??)
